It's going to be a hot and dry day across the state. Mostly sunny skies are expected with temperatures warming into the low 90s by this afternoon. Our next cold front will move in on Friday and bring another chance of afternoon storms through the weekend. Temperatures won't be greatly affected with highs in the 80s both Saturday and Sunday!

METRO DENVER:

Today: A very nice summer day! Plenty of sunshine warm with temperatures around 90. Lows overnight will drop to the 50s.
Friday: Sunshine to start for the morning commute with skies becoming partly cloudy with a slight chance for an afternoon thunderstorm as we will see a weak cold front move into Colorado. Temperatures still around average in the mid to high 80s with lows in the 50s.
Saturday: Partly cloudy with a chance of afternoon storms. Highs in the low to mid 80s, lows in the upper 50s.
Sunday: A few storms and showers possible. Highs in the mid to upper 80s, lows in the upper 50s.

EASTERN PLAINS:

Today: A great August summer day with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures. High im the high 80s and low 90s with lows cooling into the comfortble 50s.
Friday: Mostly sunny to start with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Highs in the 80s and low 90s, lows in the mid to upper 50s.
Saturday: A chance of storms with highs in the 80s, lows in the 50s.
Sunday: Mostly sunny to start with a chance of afternoon storms. High sin the 80s, lows in the 50s.

MOUNTAINS:


Today: Mostly sunny and nice. Highs in the 70s with lows in the 30s and 40s.
Friday: A nice day to start with a few storms possible later in the day. Highs in the 70s, lows in the 40s.
Saturday: Partly cloudy in the afternoon with a few storms. Highs in the 60s and 70s, lows in the 40s.
Sunday: A chance of storms and showers with highs in the 60s and 70s, lows in the 30s and 40s.

WESTERN SLOPE:

Today: Mostly sunny and continued hot with highs in the 90s and lows in the 60s.
Friday: A few isolated storms possible in the afternoon with the arrival of a weak cold front. Highs in the 80s and 90s, lows in the 50s and 60s.
Saturday: Mostly sunny and toasty. Highs in the 80s and 90s, lows in the 50s.
Sunday: A few isolated storms possible. Highs in the 80s and 90s, lows in the 50s and 60s.
